The Versatile Rayon-Polyester-Spandex Blend A Modern Textile Wonder In the ever-evolving world of fa
When comparing organic cotton to regular cotton, there are several key differences. Organic cotton is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, which can be harmful to both human health and the environment. Additionally, organic cotton is not treated with any chemicals during processing, making it a much safer choice for consumers. Organic cotton also has a much softer feel than regular cotton, making it more comfortable to wear.
The fabric above is our Rayon Voile.
It was in 1889 when the first “artificial silk” was introduced at the Paris Exhibition. It possesses silk’s luster and drape but is less pricey than the authentic material.
Cotton has been a popular choice for fashion designers due to its affordability and breathability. It is soft against the skin and can be dyed into any color or pattern desired. Cotton also has a natural stretch which makes it ideal for garments that require flexibility and movement. On the other hand, rayon is a synthetic fabric which has a more luxurious feel than cotton but at a higher price point. Rayon is also more durable than cotton and does not shrink or fade as easily when washed.
Caring for your Rayon clothes is not hard, but it requires some extra efforts. Is it worth it? Absolutely. Can you just dry clean it instead? Even better! But if you rather not make the trip to the dry cleaners, you can just follow the instructions below.
For instance, alkali cellulose is created by dissolving raw materials in a weaker caustic soda solution to produce high wet modulus rayon fabric. The rayon fibers are then woven to create the final product. Chemical treatments are applied to enhance properties such as pre-shrinking, water resistance, and fire resistance in rayon fabric.
